The 2011 BMW M3 in Mission Viejo is available in sedan, coupe and convertible body styles. It is powered by a 414-horsepower V8 engine. The manual coupe has the abilities to go from zero to 60 in 4.6 seconds, yet can stop almost instantly. The manual sedan and convertible both can accelerate from zero to 60 in under five seconds as well.
A six-speed manual transmission is standard in all body styles, with the option of a seven-speed dual-clutch automated-manual transmission. Both transmissions achieve an EPA-estimated 14 mpg city/20 mpg highway and 16 mpg combined.
Standard equipment on all models includes 18-inch wheels, automatic and adaptive xenon headlights, automatic wipers, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, eight-way power front seats, leather-cloth upholstery and driver memory functions. Standard audio equipment is a 10-speaker sound system with HD radio and an auxiliary audio jack. Standard on the convertible is a fully powered retractable hardtop and sun-reflective leather.
The coupe and sedan have an available Competition package for increased styling. The Competition package includes electronic damping control, 19-inch wheels with high-performance tires and a lowered suspension.
Standard safety features for the 2011 BMW M3 include 4-wheel antilock braking, which automatically senses when any individual wheel has stopped rotating in times of extreme braking for increased control, electronic stability control, front, side, side curtain and overhead airbags and anti-whiplash head restraints. The M3 also features a high tech security system to keep the vehicle safe.

The M3 is powered by a high-revving 4.0-liter V8 engine that produces 414 horsepower. All that power is driven through the rear wheels via two different transmissions, a six-speed manual or a seven-speed double-clutch, and a variable differential lock. High-performance anti-lock brakes with cross-drilled discs work with electronic stability control and M sport suspension to keep things under control. Available options include electronic damping control, 19-inch forged alloy wheels, navigation system, heated seats, various dash trim choices such as aluminum, wood or leather, BMW Assist, satellite radio, USB audio adapter and park distance control.
There are several different packages available on the M3. The Cold Weather package adds heated front seats and retractable headlight washers. The Premium package adds power-folding auto-dimming mirrors, BMW Assist telematics, Bluetooth, leather upholstery and different interior trim. The Technology package adds electronic damping control, M Drive adjustable settings, keyless ignition/entry, the iDrive electronics interface and a navigation system with voice controls and real-time traffic. Most of the above items are available as stand-alone options along with 19-inch wheels, a sunroof (deletes carbon-fiber roof on the coupe), rear parking sensors, automatic high beams, power rear sunshade (coupe and sedan), a split-folding rear seat (sedan), satellite radio, an iPod/USB adapter and a 16-speaker premium sound system.
For 2011, a new Competition Package is available which adds Electronic Damping Control (EDC), 19-inch wheels with high-performance tires, a lowered suspension and different programming for EDC and stability control.
