Miami GMC shoppers are ready to meet the newest members of 2011 GMC trucks at Brickell GMC, including the 2011 GMC Sierra All Terrain HD models. The GMC Sierra is an industry leader in fuel economy, capability and performance. For 2011, GMC Sierra All Terrain HD offers a combination of heavy-duty capabilities with an enhanced all-terrain suspension and greater off-road performance.
The HD lineup introduces the 2500HD and 3500HD for Miami GMC Sierra drivers. The trucks are powered by the new, production 6.6L Duramax turbo-diesel V-8 and Allison 1000 six-speed automatic transmission powertrain combination offered in the 2011 Sierra HD trucks. The Duramax is rated at 397 horsepower and 765 lb.-ft. of torque.
The powerful 6.6L Duramax is more fuel-efficient – with up to 11-percent greater fuel economy than previous versions. The powertrain’s efficiency is assisted by the Allison 1000 transmission, which requires less engine power to funnel torque to the axles. It also incorporates a “smart” exhaust brake feature that helps save wear on the brakes on downhill grades, a feature available on production Sierra HDs.
The Sierra All Terrain HD also features four-wheel drive, with automatic locking front and rear differentials, while the 14-inch, four-wheel disc brake system from the production Sierra HD provides the stopping power for this unique off-roader. The Sierra HD line will bring a new power that Miami GMC shoppers are sure to appreciate.
With the same proven powertrain as production Sierra HD trucks, the All Terrain HD delivers comparable hauling and towing capabilities, including:
The GMC Sierra trucks are familiar with the spotlight, racking up numerous industry awards over the past few years. Here are a few of the Sierra’s awards:

Miami GMC dealer, Brickell GMC, is proud to present the nominees for the GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Week 1.
New England Patriots WR Wes Welker’s return. The Pittsburgh Steelers’ overtime victory. Arizona CardinalsWR Steve Breaston’s forced fumble. These are the three finalists for the GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Week for games played on September 9-13, the NFL announced Monday. The GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Week is the best moment or play of the week that represents determination and perseverance.
Fans may vote for one of these three moments on NFL.com/gmc beginning immediately following Monday Night Football and ending on Friday at noon ET to determine the GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Week. The winner will be announced Friday during NFL Network’s “Around the League” show and then posted on NFL.com.
After the regular season, fans will have a chance to determine the GMC Never Say Never Moment Of The Year from among the 17 weekly winners. Fans can vote for the winner on NFL.com/gmc throughout the month of January.
Patriots WR Wes Welker’s triumphant return
In his first game back from a season-ending injury and surgery, earlier than many thought he would be able to return, wide receiver Wes Welker made a big impact with a team-high eight receptions for 64 yards and two touchdowns that helped the Patriots defeat the Cincinnati Bengals 38-24.
Steelers grind out OT win behind Dixon
Led by third-year quarterback Dennis Dixon, making only the second start of his career, the Steelers remained strong and composed against the Atlanta Falcons. Even after they failed to score a field goal with 39 seconds left in regulation. Luckily for the Steelers, RB Rashard Mendenhall carried the load with a 50-yard touchdown run in overtime, driving Pittsburgh to a 15-9 victory.
Breaston’s hustle prevents Rams TD
Arizona Cardinals WR Steve Breaston’s never-give-up attitude stopped the St. Louis Rams from scoring a game-changing touchdown on Sunday. In the middle of the third quarter, Rams DT Clifton Ryan scooped up a fumble by Cardinals QB Derek Anderson and ran towards the end zone. But Breaston spotted the turnover from about 15 yards away, turned on the jets, and caught Ryan at the 5, stripping him and allowing Arizona to recover in the end zone for a touchback. The Cardinals used that momentum to deliver a 17-13 victory, thanks to Breaston, who also had seven receptions for a career-high 132 yards.
