Eco-Friendly Honda Arrival at Miami Honda Dealer

In the coming years Honda plans to unveil a number of environmentally-friendly vehicles. Honda’s eco-friendly line all started with the 2011 Honda CR-Z hybrid’s debut this summer. Among the leading Miami Honda dealerships, Brickell Honda proudly shares the latest news on Honda’s “green” projects.

Though likely stirring memories of the CRX from the 1980s, the CR-Z features the latest in technological advances. Most notable is its 1.5-liter i-VTEC 4-cylinder hybrid engine that works with Honda’s unique Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) system to supply both power and efficiency to the CR-Z.

The CVT transmission version of the CR-Z produces 122 horsepower and 123 lb-ft of torque while managing 35 city mpg, 39 highway mpg and 37 mpg combined. Thus the CR-Z is incredibly eco-friendly while giving up nothing in the way of agility, power and pure enjoyment.

Steven Center, vice president for advertising and public relations at American Honda, notes that the CR-Z is truly “everything a hybrid is. And isn’t.” And, he adds, with exceptional fuel economy and value, the CR-Z “fits very nicely in the world going forward.”

Honda also announced last month that it will introduce a battery-electric vehicle and a new plug-in hybrid in the United States in 2012. Additionally, the next-generation Civic Hybrid will feature a lithium-ion battery in 2011, even more exciting news for Honda drivers and the environment.
