Consumers are all dying to know if Hyundai will actually be able to redefine the brands name to one that is associated with extravagant and luxury cars. The Hyundai Equus will be coming to American markets in 2011 hoping to entice customers with its sleek design and new technology.

Hyundai is estimating that the Equus will be in the $50,000-$60,000 range which is a clear distinction from the other models made by the brand. With the Hyundai Genesis winning the North American Car Award of the Year and having a successful sales rate the Equus is Hyundai’s next step on the road to being in the same class as BMW, Lexus, Mercedes, and other competitors.

The engine is an 8-speed automatic transmission that is electronically controlled and a 5.0-liter V8 is being tested for the car. The Equus also gets a shocking 24-MPG on the highway. Nothing is spared when it comes to luxury on the interior of the car. Each person has the ability to set the temperature control for his or her seat. The navigation screen is high definition and each Equus has the Lexicon 7.1 Surround Sound system for quality listening.

Nine Airbags throughout the car ensure top-notch safety. In addition to airbags the Hyundai Equus also Lane Departure Warning System which, “triggers a warning light, audible chime, and haptic tug via the seatbelt when the vehicle departs a lane without a turn signal, to help ensure lane-keeping for potentially distracted drivers.” The Equus is made to keep the driver and passengers safe with high-tech features that are the new generation of safety mechanisms.

Along with the built in technology the Equus is also coming equipped with a 16 GB ipad. Yes that’s right every car will come with an ipad that has a Hyundai app with the owners manual and a notification system letting the driver know when maintenance is required on the car.

Fresno Hyundai Dealer Will Soon Sell All New Hyundai Equus

Fresno Hyundai shoppers will soon have their first look at the highly-touted 2011 Hyundai Equus. The new model will be arriving in October at Visalia Hyundai’s dealership.

The Equus has been highly anticipated by many Fresno Hyundai shoppers because it has many of the same features as a high-end luxury vehicle with a price anywhere from $12 – $35,000 less.

The leather is soft. The seat is plush and comfortable, and the headliner is made from of Alcantara suede, just like that in an S65 AMG. The 2011 Hyundai Equus even has French stitching on the leather-wrapped dash.

This full-size, rear-drive luxury sedan will give Hyundai a budget alternative to a Mercedes S-Class, Lexus LS, Jaguar XJ or other top-notch sedans.

The Equus rides on a 5-link suspension (front and rear) featuring lightweight aluminum control arms and Hyundai has worked in partnership with ZF-SACHS to develop an air-suspension that is electronically governed to minimize body roll, nose-diving and other undesirable characteristics.

2011 Hyundai Equus Highlights for Fresno Hyundai Shoppers

Other notable highlights include the standard Vehicle Stability Management which integrates the Lane Departure Warning System, Pre-Safety System, Third Generation Smart Cruise Control (SCC) and other sub-systems, as well as the addition of a Knee Air Bag for the driver that brings the total airbag count to nine.

Visalia Hyundai says the price of the 2011 Equus should start at $50-$60,000 and the vehicle will be extremely well-equipped, meaning the Equus would undercut prices on comparable competitor vehicles.

The 2011 Equus comes in two trims. The Base Signature trim will offer many standard features including driver’s seat massage and smart cruise control. The Ultimate trim will have rear-seat entertainment, illuminated vanity mirrors, a refrigerated center console, and reclining rear seats.

The Equus is also featuring one of the most advanced sound systems for standard equipment. With a Lexicon 7.1 Discrete premium sound system delivering 608 watts through 17 speakers separated into 7.1 channels, drivers and passengers alike can really enjoy whatever they listen to.

The new 2011 Equus will have added fun but useful features such as a Service Valet to bring the Hyundai Equus to potential buyers for a test drive. Owners of the Equus will also benefit from the Service Valet by having Hyundai picking up and re-delivering the car for service appointments. Hyundai is also replacing the traditional paper-bound owner’s manual with an iPad app.

Equus is Latin for “horse,” and this new Hyundai will run with the best of them.  Fresno Hyundai shoppers can see it soon at Visalia Hyundai.
