Test Drive The 2011 Hyundai Genesis at Fort Worth Hyundai Dealers

Fort Worth Hyundai dealer, Jerry’s Hyundai, has exciting news for Texas Hyundai shoppers. The Hyundai Genesis has made it to the MSN 10 most-researched luxury vehicles list!

“[The Hyundai Genesis is] a spacious, no-excuses luxury sedan that starts at $33,800 with a 280-horsepower V6 engine and at $40,300 with a forceful 385-horsepower V8. Shoppers researching on MSN Autos can’t help but notice that the Hyundai lacks  for nothing — in features, engines, safety, technology — yet undercuts rivals’ prices by roughly $5,000 to $15,000. The Genesis won’t carve turns like a BMW, but plenty of luxury buyers aren’t looking to race. The Hyundai is more in the Lexus mold — well-built, lavishly featured and supremely comfortable. And there’s nothing wrong with that.” Read the full article here.

The fact that the Hyundai Genesis made this MSN list is no surprise to Fort Worth Hyundai dealerJerry’s Hyundai. After all, the Hyundai Genesis sedan is designed to offer the luxury appointments of much more expensive cars, for much less.

Both the V6 and V8 engines send power to the rear wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission that features manual sequential shift capability. Mechanical safety features on the Genesis include traction control, stability control, and panic brake assist. The interior features a full compliment of airbags, electronic active front headrests that provide whiplash protection, and a tire pressure monitor. Luxurious leather seats, automatic dual-zone climate control and woodgrain trim are just some of the appointments this car offers that are typically only found in vehicles costing much more. The Hyundai Genesis also received 5 out of 5 stars from the NHTSA crash tests.

Fort Worth Hyundai Dealer Participates During Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

Fort Worth Hyundai dealer, Jerry’s Hyundai, asks Texas Hyundai drivers to also help during September’s National Childhood Cancer Awareness month.

With September being National Childhood Cancer Awareness month your Fort Worth Hyundai dealership will be contributing to the $6.8 million that is raised for Hyundai Hope on Wheels to help children fight cancer. Hyundai is handing out “hope grants” to various hospitals and non-profit organizations in effort to fund cancer research. Over 800 Hyundai dealerships from across the country are participating in the event that donates $5 to the fund with every car that is sold. This organization has been helping fight cancer since 1998 when it was founded and the 2010 year will bring the grand total to $28 million in donations for cancer research.

The grants are hand delivered to the various hospitals and non-profit organizations in amounts of $100,000 each. In addition to Hope on Wheels touring the country to give out grants, a “Handprint Ceremony” is held at each stop along the way in which the children patients can make a colorful handprint on a white Hyundai Santa Fe to show how they are in the fight against cancer.

The Hyundai Hope on Wheels website goes on to explain, “Why handprints? Because there’s nothing more personal than a handprint – and the goal of the Hope on Wheels Tour is to share the personal triumphs of each of these children with other childhood cancer patients and their families across the country. Whether it’s completing a round of chemo, celebrating a beautiful new head of hair or receiving a clean bill of health, one childhood cancer patient’s milestone can be another’s symbol of hope.”

President and CEO of Hyundai Motor America, John Krafcik, explains the development of the organization, “While we’ve made progress over the last few decades and now have an 85 percent cure rate, cancer still takes more lives than any other childhood disease…We love taking on big challenges at Hyundai, and we can think of no more worthy challenge than finding a cure for all forms of pediatric cancer.”

Texas Hyundai shoppers should contact Jerry’s Hyundai at 817-374-4970 to find out more information about how to contribute. When looking for a Hyundai in Fort Worth TX, first visit www.jerryshyundai.com
