The 2011 Nissan LEAF is a friend of the environment and now, a polar bear.

Kalamazoo Nissan dealer, Cole Nisan, announces the first commercial of the highly anticipated Nissan LEAF, that aired during the opening night of the National Football League. A one minute video featuring a polar bear, a Nissan LEAF, and an owner of a Nissan LEAF, all come together to show just how environmentally friendly they all are.

The Nissan LEAF polar bear begins in the icy Arctic, amidst the melting glaciers, looking as bummed as a child heading back to school. Soon he swims to shore to start his journey through forests, highways, train tracks, and bridges, crossing city and suburban landscapes, looking for someone that is trying to help his situation.

After days of searching, he shows up in a driveway, where the 2011 Nissan LEAF is parked and a man is heading to work. The man is obviously shocked to see a polar bear in his driveway and gets an even bigger shock when the polar bear stands up to hug and thank him. The man accepts, knowing that he is doing his part.

A commercial that appeals to the environmentalist and designer in all of us, the same qualities that are found in the new 2011 Nissan LEAF.
