The visual changes on the 2011 ML350 include restyled front and rear fascias, grille, headlights and smoked taillights. The interior receives upgraded materials along with a two-tone color scheme and new four-spoke steering wheel with integrated shift paddles. New standard and optional equipment has also been added.

The ML350, which is powered by Mercedes-Benz’s ubiquitous 3.5-liter V6 engine, produces 268 horsepower and 258 lb-ft. of torque.

Standard equipment includes vinyl upholstery, power front seats, 17” wheels, dual zone automatic climate control and wood interior trim. Mercedes’ own occupant protection systems, Pre-Safe and Neck-Pro head restraints, along with roof rails are also included. A new multimedia interface system allows Bluetooth hands-free calling as well as an auxiliary connection for mobile music players. An optional Media Interface allows interacting with devices such as an iPod via the vehicle’s steering wheel controls and displays.

Mercedes-Benz engineers found a way to improve fuel economy of all M-class SUVs by about 1.5 mpg on average. The ML350 features a four-wheel drive system and a 7-speed automatic transmission and now sport twin exhaust tips. The standard 17″ wheels are upgraded with the V8 model getting new 19-inch, 5-spoke alloys.

Options

Options include the premium package, which features a power sunroof, harman/kardon stereo with satellite radio, a power liftgate and, on ML350, rain sensing wipers. An additional premium package, P2, adds a navigation system and memory seats. A P3 premium package adds an load leveling suspension and active shock absorber control.

New options for the 2011 year are: a 12-speaker, 610W Harman Kardon Logic7 sound system and a rear-seat entertainment system with two 8-inch screens, a DVD player, two wireless headphones, and two remote controls. MB’s Linguatronic voice-operated control system is another high-tech option.

An interior appearance package includes front sport seats covered in Alcantara, a faux suede, and aluminum interior trim.
